MacMaster House B & B has Spacious bedrooms which are handsomely appointed with European antiques, down comforters, European bed linens, lush pillows, desk or dressing table and reading chair. The Inn features large common areas with many styles of antiques, some original to the house. A spacious parlor room features a large fireplace, plenty of seating for conversation, reading or enjoying a glass of wine, and an upright piano for guest enjoyment. Mingle with other guests or enjoy a quiet corner with a book. Seven fireplaces cozy things up, and a gourmet breakfast is served on English Minton china in the elegant dining room. Seven guest rooms are available, some with private bath and fireplace. European bath sheets are provided, and shared baths have oversized soaking or claw foot tubs. All Suites and Bedrooms Offer: Comfortable Beds, a reading chair and vanity or desk Cable, Television with VCR and free use of Inn's Video Library. The Inn has central Air-Conditioning; additional individual room air conditioners are included in some rooms. All rooms are located on the 2nd or 3rd floor, four rooms have fireplaces. Suites include private bath and CD players. European-style shared baths on each floor accompany all other rooms.

The MacMaster House B&B is perfectly situated in the southwest (SW) metro of the city of Portland. Breathtaking skyline views of the city with Mt. Hood in the distance are yours to enjoy with just a 3 minute walk from the Inn. Situated about 1 block south of Burnside Avenue, the location is perfect for enjoying a quiet evening or glass of wine on the front porch, with a plethora of city attractions within walking distance. The central location makes it the perfect choice for all visitors to Portland, with or without a car. Popular spots such as the Portland Art Museum, Pioneer Square, Powell's Bookstore, Washington Park and the NW 23rd Street Shopping District are accessible by foot from the B&B. If you desire, you can even walk to the Pearl District, famous for the First Thursday Art Walk, about 30 minutes on foot. When you tire out from sightseeing and shopping, an abundance of affordable public transportation can take you "home." Options include the popular TriMet Light Rail, Buses, the Portland Streetcar, and of course Taxi service. Enthusiasts can even plan their trip online at the TriMet website! A block away at Burnside Avenue, our street, SW Vista becomes NW 23rd. On 23rd, you'll find everything from casual to fine dining, and of course coffee shops every few hundred feet. Eclectic and unique shops, and outdoor dining make this area a haven for residents of the city and visitors alike. Be sure to visit Coffee People, one of the Innkeeper's favorites. If you prefer the bright lights and big city feel, trek east towards Broadway, where shops, dining, theater and nightlife are in abundance - and best of all, you can get there on foot. Broadway is home to the Portland Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA), the Oregon Historical Society and further south, Portland State University. Of course with a vehicle during your visit, the possibilities are even more endless - a day trip into Oregon Wine Country, a trip along the Mt. Hood Loop Highway, or even a journey west to the Oregon Coast - they're all within your reach while visiting the MacMaster House B&B and Portland Oregon!
