| The Philo Pottery Inn, the only historic bed & breakfast in the Anderson Valley wine country only 2 1/2 hours from San Francisco has five charming and comfortable rooms. The inn was build in 1886 from old growth redwood. The rooms are decorated with turn-of-the-century antiques, all have down pillows and comforters. The garden invites you to spend an afternoon reading, watching hummingbirds or picking juicy plums right of the tree. A masseuse is available to help you relax even further. A generous and full breakfast is included in the room rates. In the afternoon we offer complimentary local wine, port and home-baked treats. Sit on one of our veranda's sip a glass of local wine and watch the world go by! |

A number of excellent wineries are only minutes away. Private tours and in-house tastings can be arranged with a little bit of prior notice. Hendy Woods state park offers the opportunity for leisurely walks or strenous hikes thru a beautiful, primeval redwood forest. The northern California coast and the town of Mendocino are less than 40 minutes from the inn. The Anderson Valley offers a number of excellent restaurants, the opportunity to meet local artists, visit their studios or rummage in one of the many galleries and antique shops. And at the end of the day the Philo Pottery Inn awaits you. Music, books and games await you in the parlor, after dark try the hammock in the garden and watch a million stars! |
